Roasted Beet Salad with Walnuts & Goat Cheese December 08 2016

  • 3 medium beets - washed and trimmed
  • 1/4 C extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 TBL Michigan Beet & Carrot
  • 1 TBL honey
  • 1 TBL minced red onion
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 C baby spinach
  • 1/2 C crumbled goat cheese
  • 1/2 C chopped walnuts

1. Preheat the over to 400F. Wrap beets in foil packets and roast about 1 hour. Open packets and let cool. Once cool enough to handle, peel and dice.

2. In a bowl, add olive oil, vinegar, honey, onions,and mustard. Whisk together. Add beets and spinach to bowl and toss to coat. Top with goat cheese and walnuts.


Mab's BBQ Vinaigrette November 16 2016

  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 TB brown sugar
  • 1 TB McClary Bros. Michigan Beet & Carrot Vinegar
  • 3 TB pineapple juice
  • 3 TB Mabs’ Atomic Mustard
  • 1/4 tsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 TB tamari
  • 1 TB Worchestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 TB grated onion
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Whisk all ingredients in medium bowl to combine. Use as a tangy, versatile sauce and dressing for roasted vegetables, grilled meats, and salads.


Bayou Mule October 15 2016

  • 1.5 oz Bayou Spiced Rum
  • .75 oz McClary Bros. Michigan Apple Pie Drinking Vinegar
  • 4 oz ginger beer
  • fresh ginger

Muddle a slice of ginger root in a shaker. Fill with ice, add rum and vinegar. Strain in a glass over ice. Top with ginger beer, stir gently. Garnish with a slice of ginger root.
